Agriculture Minister and Godda MP inaugurate month long Shravani Mela in Deoghar

Deoghar: On the occasion of Guru Purnima at Dumma which acts as a border between Bihar-Jharkhand’s Shravani Mela 2022 was inaugurated by Jharkhand Government Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh and Godda MP Dr Nishikant Dubey.

During this, the pundits chanted the Vedic mantra and the fair was inaugurated by cutting the lace before the ceremony. Speaking on this occasion, Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh said that due to the event is being organized after two years, this time there is a possibility of more crowd of devotees in Shravani Mela.

He said that Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has continuously monitored the Shravani Mela in Deoghar and Basukinath to make better arrangements and has been taking stock of preparations from local officials. Along with the government, the cooperation of administrative officers, personnel, public representatives, residents of Deoghar and devotees is necessary in the successful operation of Shravani Mela.

The Agriculture Minister said that it is everyone’s aim to dedicate service at the feet of Baba Baidyanath while cooperating in the successful operation of the fair. Better arrangements have been made at Baidyanath Dham and Shravani Mela in Basukinath. Devotees can reach Deoghar without worrying and have darshan of Baba as whenever such events are held all people serve together and everyone gets united in the honor of Deoghar without any political discrimination, all have to be united in making this Shravani Mela a success while performing their duty. This time also the Shravani Mela will be completely successful.

Badal talked about taking the suggestion of MP Dr Nishikant Dubey to the Chief Minister. Addressing the inauguration ceremony Nishikant Dubey said that he does not want do any politics in the name of Baba but ever since he became an MP he has been participating in the inauguration of Shravani Mela. In the last two and a half years, he said that he did not participate in a single government program, but Shravani Mela and Baba are his priority.

The MP said that the district administration has made preparations for the Shravani Mela day and night. The district administration has not made any reduction in the system, but the state government will have to take policy decisions to make the system of Shravani Mela even better he said.

The MP said that the Chief Minister is the chairman of the Shrine Board, but for the last two and a half years, the Chief Minister has not held a meeting of the Shrine Board. The work of Q complex in Deoghar is still incomplete he said adding that the Prime Minister had said in Deoghar on Tuesday that due to the increase in facilities in Kashi Vishwanath, Ayodhya and Kedarnath, the number of devotees increased and same will happen here therefore there is a need to take a joint decision on how to increase the facilities in Deoghar, but not a single meeting of the Shrine Board has been held for the development of Deoghar and Basukinath. Despite this, the district administration has made better arrangements for Shravani Mela.
