Ranchi: The team of enforcement directorate on Sunday brought Jharkhand High Court advocate Rajiv Kumar who was arrested in Kolkata with Rs 50 lakh to Ranchi. On reaching Ranchi the ED team took advocate Rajiv Kumar to Sadar Hospital for a medical check-up.
After that, he was taken for questioning. ED will interrogate Jharkhand High Court advocate Rajiv Kumar, arrested for recovering Rs 50 lakh from businessman Amit Agarwal on remand.
Rajiv Kumar was to be interrogated on August 20 itself. On July 31, Jharkhand High Court advocate Rajiv Kumar was arrested from Kolkata.
It was alleged that in the name of providing relief in public interest litigation filed against him in the Jharkhand High Court, the advocate had first demanded Rs 10 crore, but later it was decided to give Rs one crore. Rajiv Kumar had come to Kolkata only to take 50 lakh rupees in the first installment
