Light to medium rainfall to predicted across Jharkhand from Aug 23-25

Ranchi: The effect of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal is being seen in the whole of Jharkhand. The Meteorological Center has predicted light to moderate rain in the entire state from August 23 to 25. During this, there may be thunderstorms at some places. In view of this, the Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert.

At the same time, it remained to rain intermittently on Sunday as well. However, the low-pressure area which was centered over Jharkhand has now moved towards Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

The Meteorological Center has predicted light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of Dhanbad, Simdega, East Singhbhum, Saraikela-Kharsawan, Giridih, Godda, Deoghar and Sahibganj districts of the state. During this strong winds are also expected at some places of these districts.

According to the Meteorological Center the wind speed has been predicted to reach 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. In the last 24 hours, more than 100 mm of rain has been received in the capital Ranchi. During this, the wind speed was a maximum of 55 to 60 kilometers per hour.
