Ranchi: Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, hosted “Adios ‘25”, farewell ceremony of the graduating batch of 2023-2025 in the campus on Saturday. The event was full of emotions and joy as Students, Faculty, and Staff came together to celebrate the achievements and memories of the graduating batch. The function began with lighting the lamp by dignitaries’ present seeking the blessings of the Almighty on everyone present.
Director, Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur SJ in his message to the farewell batch, reflected on the incredible journey of the graduating students and began with three thought-provoking questions, stating whether they are truly happy at this point of departure, if they feel a sense of fulfilment compared to the purpose they started with, and whether they are passionate about their life, career, and leadership journey.
He emphasized that true success lies in loving what you do and being grounded in values that matter. He encouraged the students to become leaders who not only care for others but are also not afraid to confront challenges. Sharing some timeless advice, he spoke about the importance of maintaining a balanced life, staying on a continuous learning curve, being humble, focused, and feeding the mind with positivity. He reminded them that goodwill naturally follows when one stays grounded, embraces lifelong learning, and keeps the inner spark alive through all of life’s ups and downs.
