Accused arrested in trader murder case

Ranchi: On March 27, Bhupal Sahu, a shoe shopkeeper, was brutally murdered by throat slashing at Ravi Steel in the Pandera OP area. Six days after the incident, the police have arrested one accused, identified as Gaurav.

However, the police have not officially confirmed the arrest yet. According to sources, the accused is said to be the deceased’s neighbor, and the police are currently interrogating him.

As per the available information, after the murder, the accused had gone underground. On Thursday, he was attempting to flee Ranchi. The police received a tip-off that he was escaping in an e-rickshaw.

Acting swiftly on the information, under the direction of the SSP, the City SP sent a team led by the Kotwali DSP to apprehend him. The accused was captured from the Ormanjhi area.
