Ranchi: On behalf of Hazaribagh Athletic Association, DC Nancy Sahay inaugurated the football league competition to be held at Hazaribagh Curzon Ground on Saturday.
The inaugural match was played between Lucca Sporting Club, Sindoor vs Sai Ram Club, Dandai amidst a huge crowd.
Lucca Sporting Club, Vermilion won 2-0 in the opening match.
20 clubs are participating in the Hazaribagh Football League competition.
All the matches will be played at Curzon Ground.
Hazaribagh district team will be formed for Santosh Trophy through organizing league matches.
Hazaribagh district team for inter-district will participate in the competition to be held in Garhwa from 10th September.
Hazaribagh Athletic Association President Alok Kumar, Executive Vice President Mohammad Mansoor Alam, Secretary Koleshwar Gop, Deputy Secretary Surendra Ram were present on this occasion.
Many senior players including Vikas Kumar Das, Shashi Kumar Das, Ashok Kumar, Kartik Ram, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Anuj Ram, Rajan Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Anand Kumar Mahato were present as judges in this league match.
The swearing-in ceremony of Kanyakubj Astrologer Brahmin Mahasamiti, Jharkhand Pradesh was organized on Saturday at Mundrika Kunj, Hazaribagh Kallu Chowk.
In this the newly elected President, Vice President, Patron, Secretary and members were sworn in. Senior officials of the Election Committee and Advisory Committee, Dr. Shambhu Nath Mishra, Ramchandra Pandey, Kanhaiya Pandey, Bhrigunandan Pandey and Bhuneshwar Pandey administered oath to the newly elected members in front of Lord Parshuram to maintain the development, upliftment and integrity of the society.
