Father and son buried as land caved-in Dhanbad

Dhanbad, May 24: A man and his son were buried in the ground as result of a cave in which occured at Indira Chowk located on Jharia-Sindri road  of this district.

 

Upon receiving the information a rescue team and police reached on the spot. The DGMS was also informed about the incident. The painter Babloo (40) and his son Rahim (12) were buried in the ground. Miffed over the incident the locals have blocked traffic movement on the Jharia-Sindri road.

 

City SP Anshuman Kumar and SDO have reached on the spot. The district administration has pressed two JCB machines to dig the ground. The people alleging delay in relief and rescue measures also indulged in stone pelting and broke the windows of various vehicles. Meanwhile additional police has been deployed in the area.

 

On the other hand commenting on the land cave in incident Dhanbad MP P N Singh has held the previous UPA government responsible for the incident. He said that in the previous government sand scam took place in which the CBI probe has been ordered.

 

He alleged that Congress was responsible for cave in in Jharia and said that despite the area being highly unsafe people were buy landing and building houses for which their was a need to create awareness and also the DGMS should make proper identification of such vulnerable spots.
