Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty showered love on her sister-in-law Reena Kundra on her birthday, describing her as a trusted friend, devoted mother and the family’s “forever bright-eyed, bushy-tailed Miss Dependable.”
Sharing a series of cherished photographs from their time together on Instagram, Shilpa wished Reena a happy birthday and expressed gratitude for her constant support and caring nature.
In her heartfelt message, the actress wrote that Reena is not only her sister-in-law but also a close friend and someone with a “heart of gold.” She wished her abundant health, love, laughter and happiness, adding that she deserves all the joy and affection in the world.
Shilpa is married to businessman Raj Kundra. The couple got engaged and married in 2009. They welcomed their son in 2012 and later became parents to a daughter through surrogacy in 2020.
On the professional front, Shilpa will next be seen in the upcoming action drama KD: The Devil, directed by Prem. The film features an ensemble cast including Dhruva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Jisshu Sengupta and Nora Fatehi.
The actress was last seen in Sukhee, directed by Sonal Joshi. The film follows the journey of Sukhpreet “Sukhee” Kalra, a 38-year-old Punjabi homemaker who breaks free from her routine life to attend a school reunion in Delhi.
Shilpa made her Bollywood debut in 1993 with the thriller Baazigar, starring Shah Rukh Khan. She later appeared in films such as Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Aao Pyaar Karen and Haathkadi.
A major turning point in her career came with the success of Dhadkan, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty. The film cemented her position in Bollywood and was followed by notable performances in movies such as Apne, Garv: Pride and Honour, Life in a… Metro, Dus, Fareb and Rishtey.
