88.01 pc of planned expenditure spend till March 28: Khare

Ranchi, Mar 29: Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief
Secretary of the Finance Department Amit Khare said that so far 88.01
pc (Rs 32,277.41 cr) of planned allocation of (Rs 36,673.91 cr) for
the fiscal 2016-17 has been spent till March 28.
He said that compared to the previous years this expenditure was much
higher and going by the trend of expenditure it was expected that by
March 31, 90 pc of the funds would be spend.
He said that in the fiscal 2015-16 till   March 31, 2016 a total of Rs
31,287.08 crore was spent which also included a sum of Rs 6,136.37 cr
spent on loan under UADY Yojana. Mr Khare said that during the current
financial year the departments which have been able to spent more than
Rs 90 pc of the funds included road construction (99.92 pc), urban
development (98.66  pc), welfare (97.16 pc), drinking water and
cleanliness (94.73 pc), higher education (93.66 pc), rural development
(92.40 pc) and building construction (91.15 pc).
