Ranchi:  BJP MLA Neelkanth Singh Munda cornered the government in the House regarding municipal elections.

He said that when the tenure of municipal bodies in Jharkhand was ending in 2023, why did the government not make preparations for holding elections earlier.

Why was the Backward Classes Commission not formed earlier.

He said that the government is also misleading the High Court.

The government has given an affidavit in the court 4 months ago that the civic elections will be held within 6 months.

But there was so much delay in forming the Backward Commission for Triple Test.

Now how will the government conduct elections in 2 months.

On this, Minister Satyanand Bhokta said that not even 6 months have passed.

After the commission’s report comes, the government will take a decision and conduct elections on time.
