14 minors rescued from Delhi brought to Ranchi

Ranchi: Fourteen minors including 12 girls and 2 boys were rescued from New Delhi and brought to the state capital.

The rescued were brought from the Garib Rath Express. These minors were rescued by Jharkhand Mahila Vikas Samiti.

All the children who have been rescued hail from West Singhbhum, Pakur, Sahebganj, Simdega, Godda, Gumla and Khunti districts. A maximum of five children hail from West Singhbhum district. Later all the children were handed over to the child welfare committee.

The children have been kept currently with the child welfare committee for questioning. Members of the committee who helped in the rescue of the children had also accompanied them from New Delhi.
