13 jawans of JAP suspended over spurious liquor deaths in Ranchi

Ranchi, Sep 9: Post the death of 16 people following consumption of supurious liquor over the last few days 13 jawans of the Jharkhand Armed Police have been suspended for their involvement in the illegal trade of liquor.

On the directions of JAP ADG the DIG of JAP has taken the action. ADG Regi Dungdung had ordered for the suspension of these jawans after a report by DIG Sudhir Kumar Jha implicated their role in the illegal liquor business.

Meanwhile the Ranchi SSP has come out with numbers where people can share information regarding illegal liquor business. The SSP has also directed all the DSPs to conduct raids against illegal liquor mafias and has also urged the people not to consume the liquor which is being illegally sold. The people have been asked to dial at 100 or contact their DSP if they have any information regarding illegal liquor.
