₹5.44 crore allocated for six months’ pension of Jharkhand movement activists

Ranchi: The state government has allocated ₹5.44 crore for the disbursement of six months’ pension to recognized activists of the Jharkhand movement across all 24 districts of the state. The amount has been sanctioned by the Department of Home, Prison, and Disaster Management.

District Commissioners (DCs) or officials authorized by them will be responsible for withdrawing the funds and ensuring payment to eligible beneficiaries. According to official instructions, payments will be made via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) after verifying the identities of the recipients.

The allocation by district is as follows: Bokaro – ₹47.10 lakh, Chaibasa – ₹23.44 lakh, Seraikela – ₹20.80 lakh, Jamshedpur – ₹64.75 lakh, Chatra – ₹13.26 lakh, Deoghar – ₹7.57 lakh, Dhanbad – ₹58.71 lakh, Dumka – ₹46.20 lakh, Giridih – ₹34.99 lakh, Godda – ₹14.21 lakh, Gumla – ₹13.44 lakh, Hazaribagh – ₹37.33 lakh, Jamtara – ₹18.50 lakh, Koderma – ₹23.14 lakh, Latehar – ₹3.21 lakh, Pakur – ₹1.57 lakh, Palamu – ₹1.47 lakh, Ramgarh – ₹22.16 lakh, Ranchi – ₹61.78 lakh, Sahibganj – ₹1.05 lakh, Khunti – ₹1.26 lakh, Simdega – ₹3.26 lakh, Garhwa – ₹21,000, and Lohardaga – ₹26.55 lakh.

The total disbursement stands at ₹5.44 crore, aimed at honoring and supporting those who played an active role in the movement for the formation of Jharkhand.
