Education and skill development key focus area for government says Raghubar

Khunti, Nov 12: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that his government has accorded key focus on the development of education sector and skill development in the center.

Addressing the people on the foundation laying of the Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University here he said that in this fiscal a total 14 per cent of the budget amount (Rs 10577 crore) has been allocated to the education sector while for the skill development a fund of Rs 700 crore has been allotted. He said that new educational institutions are being opened in the state as education can alone remove poverty from the state.

He said that skill development would help to create job employment opportunities for the people and end unemployment. He said that his government has given go ahead to open 53 new colleges in the state which are being constructed in such constituencies which do not have any college these also included 11 model and 12 womens college. He said that three engineering colleges would be set up in Santhal Pargana and other tribal dominated areas and soon a skill university would also come up in the state.

The Chief Minister said that knowledge city is being built in Khunti where the raksha Shakti University and other educational institutions would be opened. He said that such students who would be completing one year course from here would be given priority in police recruitment. He said that due to increase in cyber crime there has been an increase in demand for cyber experts.
