Coronavirus tally in state reaches 94,952 as 583 cases found on Thursday, death toll at 820

Ranchi: The Coronavirus patients tally in the state reached to 94,952 as a total of 683 fresh cases of Covid-19 were detected across  Jharkhand on Thursday.

During the day 8 deaths were reported including 4 each from  Ranchi and Bokaro districts after which the overall death count has increased to 820 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.86 percent.

As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 6,892 while the number of cured and discharged cases stood at 87,240. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 820.

On Thursday a maximum number of 219 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 74 in Bokaro, 56 from East Singhbhum, 43 in Dhanbad and 30 from West Singhbhum (top five districts).

A total number of 873 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 353 from Ranchi, 135 from East Singhbhum, 36 in Hazaribagh, 35 each in Saraikela and West Singhbhum and 32 in Bokaro.

Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 91 percent mark to currently stand at 91.87 percent in Jharkhand.

So far in the state 27,73,407 samples have been collected out of which 27,67,553 have been tested and 26,72,601 have turned out to be negative.
