Minor accused who issued threats on social media to Dhoni’s family brought to Ranchi from Gujarat

Ranchi: A team of the Ranchi Police on Thursday returned back to the capital along with the minor accused who had issued threats to Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s family on social media from Gujarat.

During questioning the accused confessed that he was a big fan of IPL franchise Chennai Superkings which is captained by former team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. On October 7 when CSK lost to KKR he got very angry as he had very high expectations from Dhoni that he would win the match but unfortunately, he could only manage 12 runs from 11 balls.

The minor accused said that he had made those comments on Instagram not with any pre-planning or animosity but had made the comments after seeing other criticisms-based posts however soon he had realized his mistake and had deleted that post.

On October 9 the objectionable posts were made against Ziva, daughter of Dhoni on the Instagram account of her mother Sakshi. An FIR in the case was registered on October 11 in the case at Ratu Police Station.

Later the technical cell of Ranchi police traced the accused all the way to Gujarat and caught him from the West Kutch. The 16 year old culprit is a student of class 11th.
