Cabinet approves 103.68 crore to install Electro Defluoridation Plant

Ranchi, Jun 5: The Jharkhand Government approved a sum of Rs 103.68 crore to install solar power electro defluoridation plants in 233 fluoride hit ‘tolas’ of the state under the  National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP)  during the fiscal year 2018-19.

A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the state cabinet which was chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das at the project building here. Apart from installing the money will be also used for maintenance and running these plants. It was also decided that tax for the land falling under the boundaries of the state which was earlier collected in rupees and pais due to problems in online payment but be henceforth collect in round figure.

The cabinet also decided that a sum of Rs 85.75 crore will be spent from the state plan head for development of command area falling under Kanchi irrigation scheme and water management. It was also decided to take approval from the central government for early withdrawal of funds for schemes to be undertaken under NRWDP in the state.
The government approved a sum of Rs 30.01 crore for the fiscal 2018-19 for implementation of centre sponsored ‘Mahila Shakti Kendra’ while it was decided that the renumenration for land measuring and boundary wall measuring of the Amin (land surveyor) will be Rs 1000.
The cabinet also approved a proposal to hand over the work of construction of the software technology parks in Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, Deoghar and Bokaro to Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Ltd while the work for construction of municipal waste water project in Rajmahal under the Namai Gange project will be awarded to Ms Annu Infra Construction India Pvt Ltd.
The government has also decided to join togther the 33 revenue villages of six panchayats of Mahgama block of Godda district and frame the Mahgama Naga Panchayat while it was decided that the appointments in the Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University will be made as per the rules of the Jharkhand State Universities Act 2000.
