State government is dedicated to villages, poor, labourers, farmers: Aalamgir Aalam

Ranchi: Minister Aalamgir Aalam on Wednesday said that the main objective of the works of the Rural Development Department is to bring positive improvement in the standard of living of the people living in rural areas.

Addressing the launch programme of “Gramin Ki Aas, Mnrega Se Vikas” organized at the project building here he said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, keeping in mind the people of all sections and
religions of the state the Rural Development Department is working to take the benefits of its various ambitious schemes from village to village.

He said that employment generation among the needy is the priority of the government and added that the government is commitment for bringing economic and social change in the lives of villagers. He said that during the period of Coronavirus people are being connected with various schemes run by the department. The increased participation of people in Mnrega schemes is making the department to work with more energy. He said that since the initial days of the formation of the present government, special emphasis has been being given in the Mnrega including agriculture, farmers, small and cottage industries, education, health with positive thinking in the
link of all-around development of the state.

The minister said that accelerated development in remote rural areas of the state is possible only when the direct and indirect participation of the people at the grassroot level is ensured adequately along with the government efforts. It is the moral responsibility of all to ensure the role and responsibility of the people by bringing about a change in their thinking he said.

The minister said that the development programme will run from September 22 to December 15 after which an assessment will be made about the achievement of the objectives of the programme, then further preparations will
be made.

He said that people have high expectations from the government as even in the period of Corona the officials of the Rural Development Department, DDCs of all the districts and all the Block Development Officers, women self-help groups associated with JSLPS have done well to connect them with employment by issuing job cards to the migrant labourers. He said that even after 14 years of Mnreva scheme, wells are not visible in all the fields and the condition of the goat sheds is bad.

He requested all the officers to take the responsibility of implementing all the schemes on the ground hundred percent. He told the Block Development Officers that the responsibility of taking Mnrega schemes to the people is them and asked them to keep monitoring and checking all the work continuously in their area.

He said that the programme which is being launched from 150 blocks of the state can be extended to other blocks of the state by the district level committee as per the requirement. He said that the main objective of the campaign is to organize regular employment day, organize regular gram sabhas, provide timely employment to all the interested families, in the participation of women and scheduled caste/ scheduled tribe workers etc.
He said that he is confident that this campaign will be successful in making the people living in rural areas self-supporting and financially empowered.

On this occasion, Secretary, Rural Development Department, Dr Manish Ranjan, Mnrega Commissioner Rajeshwari B, Additional Secretary Rural Development Department Ram Kumar Sinha, Deputy Development Commissioners arrived from different districts were present.
