Ranchi: Banks in Jharkhand from Thursday onwards will work for only four starting from 10 am to 2 pm.
In wake of the rising cases of Coronavirus, a decision in this regard has been taken in the State Level Bankers Committee and the circular for the same has been sent to all the banks. However, during this period the ATM service and digital banking services will not be impacted.
Cash loading vendors, data centre, data recovery centre, service branch and bank Treasury office will work as usual. The decision has been taken till April 30 after which again a review will be done and a further course of action will be decided.
The SLBC has directed all the administrative offices and branches to reduce manpower by 50 percent however a final decision will be taken by the branch manager depending on the business of the bank. Digital banking will not be impacted and the facility will be smoothly available to the customers.
It has been suggested to give pregnant women and Divyang employees to work from home. All the training and meeting of the bank employees have been cancelled with immediate effect. Further, all guidelines of Coronavirus have to be strictly implemented in the banks.
