Ranchi: a delegation of the right to food campaign and phia foundation jointly met Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the project building.
The members of the delegation gave a memorandum to the Chief Minister through which they requested not to make any cuts in the the Civil Society pre-budget consultation on food and social security scheme.
The delegation also urged the Chief Minister to make the state finance commission which is a constitutional institution more active. Those present in the delegation included economist Jean Dreze, former VC of Vinoba Bhave University Dr Ramesh Sharan, social worker Balram and state head of Fiya Foundation Johnson Toppo.
