Yellow alert of fog and cold wave in Jharkhand

Ranchi: Cold wave continues to wreak havoc in entire Jharkhand including the capital Ranchi. Fog is also prevalent in many districts in the morning. The situation is that after the drizzle two days ago, fog is also spreading. With the clouds clearing, the effect of cold has also increased.

According to the Meteorological Center, Ranchi, the minimum temperature has dropped by seven degrees. The effect of this storm is going to continue for the next four days. According to the Meteorological Centre, this change is being seen due to the cold air coming from the north-west direction.

In view of the havoc caused by cold wave in the entire state including Ranchi, Meteorological Center Ranchi has issued a yellow alert. Cold wave starts showing its effect in the early morning and as soon as evening falls. Due to this, it has become difficult for people to go out of the house early in the morning and late in the evening. In view of the increasing cold, the state government has also changed the timings of schools.

Till January 25, classes from KG to V are running from 10 am to 2 pm. Whereas schools from classes 6 to 12 are running from 9 am to 3 pm. Abhishek Anand, senior meteorologist of Meteorological Center, Ranchi, said that the effect of fog is going to be in many districts of the state. Visibility is going to be very low in the morning. This will continue for the next three to four days. In such a situation, those traveling early in the morning are advised to leave after the visibility is clear.

He said that the effect of fog will be seen in Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Pakur, Giridih, Jamtara, Sahebganj, East and West Singhbhum, Simdega, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Gumla, Bokaro and Khunti.
