Work on Jamshedpur-Dhanbad-Ranchi highway to commence this year: CM

Saraikela/Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the work on the ambitious Jamshedpur-Dhanbad-Ranchi highway would commence soon as the foundation work would be laid during this fiscal itself.

 

Addressing the people after laying the foundation stones for Rangamati-Tikar-Banta-Silli Road to be built at an investment of Rs 130 crore and Aadardih-Milan Chowk road to be built at Rs 100 crore he said that the road projects would create employment opportunities as a total of 1500 kilometers of roads and 150 bridges have to be built this year.

 

He said that development was the priority for the state government which should reach to the people standing on the last strata of the society and said that roads play an important role in development therefore the state government has decided to build good and better quality roads in the state. He said directions have also been issued to prepare a dpr for 100 meter Sonahatu bridge which is damaged.

 

The Chief Minister said that despite being a rich state the people of Jharkhand were poor and there was a need to bring changes in their lives. He said that in the next 4-5 years Jharkhand would rank on par with Maharashtra and Gujrat. He said that his government believes in direct communication and the DCs and SPs would be visiting the villages and problems would be solved. He said that widows aged above 18 years would get pension whiel those without homes would be provided accommodation.

 

The Chief Minister said that lac was produced in the state and bangles prepared in jaipur similarly Tussar manufactured from Jharkhand has a name of some place else therefore the government has decided to increase self employment under which for poultry Rs 4 lakh is being given and the egg produced would be supplied for MDM in schools. He said that skill development centers in being built at Ranchi and Gumla where the youth would be  trained and they would get employment.

 

Mr Das said that BS Community Health Course is being launched and after completion the students would be posted in teh rural areas and their services attached with the primary health care center. He said that health care centers which are ready but are non functional due to resources would be opened. He said that the government has launched the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme for the BPL families of the state after which they can get treatment at a private hospital by showing the card while the premium would be paid by the state government. The APL too can avail the benfits provided they get insurance of Rs 2 lakh.

 

Silli MLA Amit Mahto and Ichagarh MLA Sadhu Charan Mahto were  also present on the occasion.
