Ranchi: On the third day of Jharkhand Women’s Asian Champions Trophy, the first match was a 1-1 draw between Korea and Malaysia.
In the match held at Jaipal Singh Munda Astro Turf Stadium, Marang Gomke, Ranchi, both the teams seemed to dominate each other. Both the teams did not score any goal in the first half. Amidst a tough competition, Korea scored the first goal in the 35th minute.
For Korea, Seo Suyong converted the penalty corner into a goal. Malaysia made continuous efforts and converted the penalty corner in the last minute to equalize the match.
Azhar Noor scored for Malaysia in the 58th minute. The match started with the introduction of Jharkhand Minister Joba Manjhi, Executive Member of Jharkhand Hockey Asunta Lakra and hockey officials.
