Women’s Asian Hockey Champions Trophy: Japan’s second consecutive win, defeating Korea 4-0

Ranchi: Japan got its second consecutive victory in the Jharkhand Asian Champions Trophy held at Marang Gomke AstroTurf Hockey Stadium in the capital Ranchi.

On the second day, the first match was played between Japan and Korea. The Japanese team played an aggressive game from the initial quarter. Took a 2-0 lead in the first quarter of the match. Kobayashi Aimee scored a brilliant goal in the 7th minute of the match and Japan’s captain Nagai Yuri scored a brilliant goal in the 15th minute.

The third goal for Japan came in the second quarter of the match. Hasegawa Miyu scored a field goal in the 19th minute of the match. Toriyama Shiho scored the last goal of the match in the form of a field goal in the 49th minute, increasing the victory margin to 4-0.

Before the match, Jharkhand Drinking Water Minister Mithilesh Thakur, Jharkhand Development Commissioner Arun Kumar Singh, Hockey India General Secretary Bholanath Singh were present.
