Without Helmet riders will have to pay fine through automatic Challan – Ranchi Traffic Police

Ranchi: Without Helmets, riders will have to pay fines through automatic Challans as per new guidelines and instructions of Ranchi Traffic Police.

Traffic Police on Monday changed its rules and regulations and issued new guidelines for the citizens of Ranchi.

Those who ride bikes without helmets will have to pay a fine through automatic Challans.

Now onwards Automatic Number Plate Reading Cameras are activated and those who travel without helmets will have to pay fine through Challans, Police Said on Monday.

This system is affected from Monday and in 18 places of Ranchi Number Plate Reading Cameras are being installed.

Ranchi Traffic Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jeevan Oraon said that “New System of Traffic will force riders to wear helmet and those who violate rules there Challans will be sent to there respective address as mentioned in the Driving Licence and Vehicle Registration number.”

He said that “In Different places of Ranchi RLVD-ANPR Camera will scan the vehicles whose owners will not wear helmets, earlier in red light those have to pay a fine who cross the signal before its indication, now both those who break signal and not wearing helmet will be fined.”

“Sooner in Ranchi City those who will talk on mobile phones, triple riders and not wearing seat belts will be challaned,” Oraon added.
