Winter Session: Uproar over JPSC row, second supplementary budget worth Rs 2936.12 cr tabled

Ranchi: The second day of the ongoing Winter Session of Jharkhand Assembly witnessed noisy scenes over the JPSC PT row as the BJP MLAs demanded the sacking of JPSC Chairman Amitabh Chowdhary. As soon as the house assembled for the day the MLAs of the BJP created an uproar inside the house and came into the well where they raised slogans against the JPSC and apart from the sacking of its chairman also called for a CBI probe into the irregularities committed in the publication of 7th-10th JPSC PT results.

The MLAs of the BJP and AJSU demanded the Speaker to first read the work adjournment motions which had been brought by them. On the other hand, CPI-ML MLA Binod Kumar Singh also came into the well of the house demanding a probe into the irregularities.

All of them urged the Speaker to intervene in the matter for the sake of the future of the students. Amid the slogan shouting and uproar, the Speaker managed to run the question hour for nearly 50 minutes and then adjourned the house for 20 minutes.

After the house restarted at 1215 hrs the BJP MLA brought their work adjournment motions but all of their motions were rejected by the Speaker who said that the MLAs had not given information over the issue at the correct time after which once again the BJP MLAs indulged in slogan shouting and came into the well of the house.

Angry with the uproar and noise Speaker Ravindranath Mahto got BJP MLA from Mandu Jaiprakash Bhai Patel marshaled out of the house after which the uproar further increased in the house with BJP MLA Amar Bauri claiming the act as disrespectful towards the MLAs.
