Wildlife Week 2023 begins with Walkathon in Ranchi

Ranchi. To commemorate the 69th Wildlife Week 2023, started with a walkathon on Sunday morning.

It was organized with the aim of creating awareness about the conservation of forests and wildlife among school children and common people.

In the said program, 350 children from different schools of Ranchi (NCC, Army, NGO, JAP) and through online registration, more than 1000 people including 400 common people, Chief Forest Conservator and officials/ employees of other institutions participated.

Director General of Police, Jharkhand, Mr. Ajay Kumar Singh and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force, Jharkhand, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, flagged off all the participants from Palash Forest Auditorium, Doranda.

The participants started walking from Palash Auditorium, Van Bhawan, Doranda at 6:30 am and covered a distance of about 10 km via Kadru Road- Argora Chowk, Birsa Chowk, Hinnu Chowk and back to Palash Auditorium, Doranda.
