Weather watch: Clouds cover and rainfall expected in a day or two

Ranchi: Despite the sun shining bright and high on Thursday the weather department has predicted for cloud cover and rainfall in next one or two days.

Weather scientist Abhishek Anand said that a new turfline is passing through Chhattisgarh, South Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra while a low pressure cyclonic area is also being formed over Assam which is likely to have its impact in Jharkhand also.

On January 29 cloud cover and rainfall has been predicted in Southern, central and north western districts after which from January 31 onwards the sky will mostly remain clear and subsequently the minimum temperature will increase.

In the last 24 hours the weather in the state has remained normal during which Ranchi witnessed a maximum temperature of 25.9 degrees while minimum was at 9.7 degrees. Jamshedpur was the hottest at 27.2 degrees while Medninagar was coolest at 8.5 degrees.
