Weather watch: Chill and nip increases, dew drops freeze

Ranchi: The state capital of Ranchi and its surrounding areas are once again battling extreme cold weather conditions.

On Sunday morning despite the Sun shining bright and high in the sky people were found shivering due to the cold wind which kept blowing throughout the day this has happened due to decline in the minimum temperature of the capital. Apart from Ranchi in the adjoining areas of Chanho, Kanke and Mcklueskiganj even the dewdrops froze.

According to the weather department cold has intensified in the state after the cloud cover lifted due to which the minimum temperature has declined in the state. Weather scientist Abhishek Anand said that for the next few days in Ranchi and adjoining areas the cold will further intensify after which the temperature will increase.

In the last 24 hours the weather has remained drive in the state where are in Jamshedpur and Daltonganj cold waves were reported. In or two places jn Chaibasa also intense cold waves were reported.

Among the districts Chaibasa was the hottest at 27.8 degrees while Giridih was the coolest at 5.1 degrees. The weather department it has predicted that in some places in the districts of Palamu Garhwa Chatra Koderma Latehar Lohardaga Ranchi Ramgarh and Giridih cold waves will blow.
