Weak state government is dangerous for Jharkhand: Raghubar Das

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and BJP’s national vice president Raghubar Das on Friday said that if the leadership is weak then all the problems are automatically created which hampers the development and ultimately the government is hesitant in taking any decision.

Addressing a press conference at the state BJP headquarters here he said that crying over lack of funds has become a part of the daily routine of the state government but there is no lack of funds to hire a Bungalow for Rs 6 lakh per month. He said that in a weak administration the land, forest and minning mafia is given protection and people involved in illegal activities are doing their work without any fear as from their earnings they also give a share to those who are in power.

He said that there was a need to ponder as why development has derailed in the state and why anarchy was prevailing in the system. The former Chief Minister said that the state government should reply as to how corruption has become rampant in the state, criminals and maoists were roaming free in the state.

Raghubar said that truth of the matter is that every section of the society has been hit and people have started losing their faith in administration. He said that whatever the people had hopes and aspirations from the Chief Minister have been dashed to the ground.

He also attacked the state government over its decision of withdrawing cases registered against the pathalgadi supporters, non-action following the massacre of tribals in Chaibasa and also after the riots in Lohardaga.

Attacking the Congress party he said that it was the biggest trouble for the government. He said that whether the Congress is inside the government or outside it makes sure to extract the maximum as people of Jharkhand know about the acts of Congress when Madhu Koda was in power. He said that even former MP Furkan Ansari has accused RPN Singh of collecting money from the cabinet ministers.

Raising questions over the recent visit of Chief Minister Hemant Soren to Delhi where he had courtsey meeting with senior Congress leaders he said that what was the need to travel in a chartered plane to Delhi when the state’s exchequer was empty. He said that since the Congress party has to fight elections in many state therefore it had called Hemant Soren for need of funds.

He said that the Chief Minister should also tell as to when the Jharkhand Bhawan has all the facilities then why a Bungalow on rent of Rs 6 lakh per month was hired for the stay of the Chief Minister.
