We should make society aware on issues related to child protection and child rights – Mnrega Commissioner

Ranchi: Mnrega Commissioner Rajeshwari B met women in the training program of Deendayal Gram Swavalamban Yojana in the auditorium of SIRD Bhawan and encouraged them. Mukesh Kumar-Lecturer, Rajiv Kumar Ranjan, Anil Yadav, Assistant Director and sisters working under Swavalamban Yojana were present on the occasion. 

While addressing the training program the Commissioner said that many policies have been framed for children at the national and state level. To bring the same policies on the ground, it is our duty to make every child of the society especially, the needy child aware of their rights she said adding that the purpose of the training is that we can make the society aware on the issues related to child protection and child rights and can discharge the responsibilities towards children according to the policy principles.

In the training program, the main tasks of Mission Vatsalya were informed by the Commissioner. She that the main tasks of “Mission Vatsalya” include improving the functioning of constitutional bodies, and strengthening the service delivery framework, institutional care and level of services. These include promoting non-institutional community-based care, providing emergency access, training and capacity building.

She said that “Mission Vatsalya aims to ensure a healthy and happy childhood for every child in India. To provide them opportunities to realize their full potential, provide support for development in every field, and establish a sensitive, supportive and synchronous eco-system for them to develop to their fullest.

During this, the sisters of Sakhi Mandal told that women are now full of confidence and expressed their views. It was told by women that now people are adopting a serious approach towards cleanliness and hygiene. They said that the villagers have been widely apprised about the schemes and benefits associated with them in the Gram Sabha. They told as to how change in thoughts has given a positive direction in life. In order to share their experiences, women told how rural areas have progressed due to change in thinking.

They said that we are getting direct benefits of the schemes brought by the government for the development of the village. For this, all the villagers are working unitedly. It was told by the villagers that now people are adopting a serious approach towards cleanliness and hygiene. 

Along with this, the women told that at present every person of the village is ready for progress in which they have started working with a conscious attitude. Under the Swavalamban scheme, work is going on for the construction of various water conservation structures such as TCB, ridge, soak pit etc.
