Water in Garhwa and Palamu to be provided through pipeline from Soan river: Das

Garhwa, Mar 26: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that
keeping in mind the water problems being faced by the residents of
Garhwa and Palamu district water from Soan river would be supplied
through pipeline to these areas.
Addressing the people on the occasion of Vanshidhar Mahotsav in Nagar
Untari of this district he said that the government would supply water
through pieline for which a DPR of Rs 4,000 has been prepared and the
foundation for the project would be laid in May. He said that once the
project is completed people will not have to face water issues related
to household work or for irrigation of the fields. The Chief Minister
said that by 2021-22 in the entire state water would reach into the
homes through pipeline.
On the occasion the Chief Minister also announced that Nagar Untari
would be re-named as Vanshidhar Nagar and directed the DC to take
necessary action in this regard.
The Chief Minister said that tourism had tremendous potential in the
state and if developed it would help to bring foreign exchange also.
He said that by tourism industry prosperity can be brought in the
area. Mr Das said that the region would be developed on the likes of
Mathura and Vrindavan.
Mr Das said that soon civil court would also be set up here. He said
that development of the state would only take place if the villages
are developed. He  said that his government is working with the motto
of eradicating poverty. The Chief Minister once again urged to the
people who had strayed way from the mainstream of life and joined the
maoist forces to come back to normal life and said that bullet can
take a life but can never save one. He said that his government would
also be successful in fight against the Maoists and other anti-social
elements.
Those present on the occasion included Health Minister Ramchandra
Chandravanshi, Palamu MP V D Ram, MLAs Bahnu Pratpa Sahi, Satyendra
Nath Tiwari, Kushwaha Shivpujan Mehta and Alok Chourasiya.
