Union Minister Murugan on 3-day visit to state

Ranchi: Union Minister Dr. L Murugan will be arriving on a three-day visit to Jharkhand on Thursday (January 16, 2025). He will be in West Singhbhum district from January 16 to 18, 2025, under the Aspirational District Program (ADP) as the Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs.

On Thursday, January 16, 2025, Dr. Murugan will meet the Deputy Commissioner, DDC, MP, and MLA of West Singhbhum at the Circuit House in Chaibasa at 5:30 PM. On Friday, January 17, 2025, he will visit the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Jagannathpur, Kesh Fisheries in Karanjia, and the SAIL mines. On Saturday, January 18, 2025, he will have discussions with departmental heads on ADP/ABP indicators in the conference hall of the Collectorate in Chaibasa.

The Aspirational District Programme is a transformative initiative launched by the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018. Its aim is to accelerate the development of 112 relatively backward and remote districts across India.
