Ranchi: Union Coal Minister Kishan Reddy is on a two-day visit to Jharkhand. During his visit, he inaugurated the 5G use case test lab and a showcase made from waste materials at the Central Coal Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI) in Ranchi. He also reviewed the ongoing projects and activities at CMPDI. Present at the event were CMPDI Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Kumar, Director (Technical/CRD) Shankar Nagachari, Director (Technical/P&D) Ajay Kumar, Director (Technical/R&DNT) Achyut Ghattak, and other officials.
Later, Reddy inaugurated the Security Training Centre at Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and reviewed CCL’s activities. The event was attended by MP Mahua Maji, local MLAs, and senior CCL officials.
The newly established Security Training Centre aims to enhance the professional skills of security personnel by providing orientation and refresher training. Equipped with state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor training facilities, the center is designed to strengthen employees’ capabilities, ensuring safer and more efficient operations.
On Friday, during the second day of his visit, he will lay the foundation stone for the construction of a 200-bed hospital at RINPAS land in Sukrahattu, Kanke. Minister Reddy may also hold a meeting with Chief Minister Hemant Soren to discuss issues related to coal workers, pending dues, and other concerns.
