Under leadership of Chief Minister, the launch of Schools of Excellence (SoEs) is being received well by parents and children

Ranchi: Jharna Kachhap, is all set to enroll his daughter in the newly launched School of Excellence by the state government. He is found to be elated over the opportunity of securing admission of her daughter to a CBSE-affiliated English medium school.

He has applied for admission at the TVH High School, Dhurwa in class VIth for her ward. Jharna said that the initiative of providing education in English medium to students coming from the underprivileged sections of society is commendable.

So far thousands of applications have been received by parents who aspire to send their children to the 80 Schools of Excellence( SoEs) recently launched by the state government.

Under the able and sensitive leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, a first-of-its-kind initiative has been taken to herald a new era of education in the state. 

Against the total number of 12,146 available seats for admissions to Schools of Excellence (SoEs) a whopping number of approximately 30,000 applications have been received across the state by the school management till May 17, 2023, till 05.30 PM.

The maximum number of applications have been received so far from Deoghar is 3,247, Lohardaga 2,254, Giridih 1,708, Palamu 2,322 and Ramgarh 1,489. In view of the demand of the parents, the deadline for submission of applications in Schools of Excellence (SoEs) has been extended till May 25, 2023.

The selection test will now be held on May 30, the first merit list will be published on June 7 and admissions as per the merit list will start from Jun 12, 2023.
