Mumbai- Author and entrepreneur Twinkle Khanna has offered a glimpse into her Diwali preparations, sharing behind-the-scenes moments from the making of her festive candle gifting collection.
Taking to Instagram, Twinkle posted photographs of herself balancing her writing commitments with her entrepreneurial venture. Describing herself as a “jack of many trades”, she said writing remains her primary focus, even as she explores her passion for candles.
“I’m a jack of many trades and the master of one. Writing will always be my main gig but between deadlines, I also became a candle wali,” she wrote.
Twinkle revealed that working on the Diwali collection has allowed her to experiment with fragrances, jars, labels and ribbons, paying attention to the smallest details. She also joked about needing her glasses to ensure everything was perfect.
For Twinkle, fragrance plays an important role in creating the atmosphere of a home. Revealing that her own space smells of mogra, she highlighted one of the pleasures of running a candle business.
“The first thing you notice when you walk into a home is the fragrance. Mine smells like a basket of mogra. The perks of owning a candle company,” she wrote.
She also invited her followers to share their ideas for the ideal Diwali candle fragrance, suggesting champa, mogra and sandalwood as possible choices.
The photographs capture Twinkle writing and working on her candle collection, offering a glimpse into her creative pursuits beyond the literary world.
After stepping away from acting, Twinkle established herself as an author. She made her literary debut in 2015 with the non-fiction book Mrs Funnybones, followed by The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, a collection of short stories.
