Tridip Mishra appears for questioning at ED office in connection with Army Land scam

Ranchi: In connection with the Army Land Scam case Additional Registrar of Assurance Kolkata Tridip Mishra on Tuesday appeared at the zonal office of the Enforcement Directorate located at Airport Road of the state capital for questioning in connection with the Army Land Scam.

On May 1 sub-registrar of Ranchi Vaibhav Mani Tripathi appeared for questioning at the ED office in the same case while former Ranchi DC and IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan is also due to appear before the ED in connection with the Army Land Scam case on May 4. 

Mishra will be questioned by the agency in connection with the selling and purchasing of 4.55 acres of Army Land located in Bariyatu Road of the capital on the basis of fake and forged documents.

The ED in connection with the Army Land scam had on April 13 conducted raids across 22 locations related to former Ranchi DC Chhavi Ranjan and his other close associates.

In connection with the Army Land Scam, the ED has also arrested seven men who were questioned in remand for 12 days and are currently lodged in Birsa Munda Jail in Hotwar.
