Ranchi: Members of various tribal outfits gathered in the state capital over the demand of implementation of a domicile policy based on the Khatiyaan of 1932.
The participants in the rally said that their agitation will continue till a domicile based on the land records of 1932 is implemented in the state. The agitation was being led by Jairam Mahto.
It was being claimed that youth from all the districts participated in the event. The youths said that the government was misleading them. He said that despite the demands the government is overlooking them.
The youth indulged in slogan shouting in support of their demands and reminded the government of its promises made in the elections. To prevent the agitators from reaching Vidhansabha elaborate security arrangements had been made in the capital with police putting up barricading at many places. Large number of jawans were also stationed and checking of vehicles was done.
