Tribal team meets CM Soren to discuss protection of Sarna sites

Ranchi: A delegation representing various Sarna committees and tribal organisations met Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday at the Legislative Assembly. The delegation presented several demands related to the protection and preservation of social, religious, and cultural sites important to indigenous communities.

During the meeting, the delegation emphasized the need for safeguarding these crucial sites, which hold significant cultural and religious value for the tribal population. Minister Chamra Linda, MLA Rajesh Kachhap, and representatives from the Sarna Prayer Assembly Ranchi Metropolitan, Central Sarna Committee, Tribal Development Council, Tribal Students’ Union, Jai Adivasi Parishad, Tribal Jan Parishad, and Siram Toli Sarna Committee were present at the gathering.

The meeting served as a platform for tribal organizations to voice their concerns and seek support from the state government for the preservation of their heritage and sacred sites.
