Traffic SP Takes to the Streets in Scorching Heat, 10 Permitless Autos Seized

Ranchi: In view of increasing traffic congestion and mounting pressure on the city’s roads, Ranchi Traffic SP Rakesh Singh personally took to the streets to assess the traffic situation. Despite the intense summer heat, he inspected several major intersections and junctions across the city and issued necessary directions to officials to ensure smoother traffic movement.

During the inspection, a special enforcement drive was launched against auto-rickshaws operating without valid permits. As part of the action, around 10 unauthorized autos were seized and sent to the concerned police stations. The crackdown created a sense of alertness among vehicle operators across the city.

Traffic SP Rakesh Singh stated that continuous efforts are being made to improve and streamline Ranchi’s traffic management system. He acknowledged that traffic regulation in several parts of the city still requires improvement and said the department is actively working to address these challenges.

He also appealed to citizens to follow traffic rules and maintain discipline on the roads so that traffic jams can be minimized. According to him, such enforcement and monitoring drives will continue in the coming days to ensure better traffic management in the state capital.
