Ranchi: Ranchi Police has got double success. On one hand, TPC militant Santosh Ganjhu, carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh, surrendered before Ranchi SSP Chandan Sinha on Friday. On the other hand, the Ranchi Police team took action and arrested Naxalite Enam Hassa Purti, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, who was involved in the murder of five policemen. SSP gave this information while addressing the press conference in his office. Jharkhand Police was looking for TPC militant Santosh Ganjhu for a long time.
Two cases are registered against Santosh in Ormanjhi police station of Ranchi. Santosh surrendered before Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha. NIA had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for completing the crime. He was an active member of the CPI Maoist organisation, who was involved in the martyrdom of five police personnel.
The arrested Naxalite had ambushed the patrolling party of Tiruldih Kharsawan police station area. In which five policemen were martyred. This Naxalite has been arrested from Radgaon and Rangamati area of Tamar police station area. Enam Hassa is a resident of the Tamar area. He was arrested by the NIA four years ago. Later, after being released on bail, he returned to the same squad.
Two country-made pistols and four live bullets have been recovered from the arrested Naxalite. Two cases are registered against the arrested militant.
