Three days to continue cold wave in Jharkhand, Weather to remain dry till December 21, possibility of drop in minimum temperature

Ranchi: The weather of the entire state including Ranchi is continuously changing. Cold winds have been blowing since late evening and early morning. It is cold in almost all the districts of the state. 

In many districts the temperature was recorded as less than 10 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature of Kanke, adjacent to the capital Ranchi, reached four degrees Celsius on Saturday. The minimum temperature of the capital Ranchi is also around eight degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, people in Jharkhand are in the grip of a cold due to the mercury falling below 10 degrees Celsius. According to meteorologists, this drop in temperature has occurred due to north-westerly wind.

Ranchi – 8.2 degrees Celsius

Jamshedpur-11.2 degrees Celsius

Daltonganj -8.5 degree Celsius

Bokaro-9.2 degree Celsius

Chaibasa – 6.2 degree Celsius

Deoghar – 10.4 degree Celsius

Giridih -10.2 degree Celsius

Garhwa – 6.7 degree Celsius

Ramgarh – 7.3 degrees Celsius

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain dry till December 21. During this period the minimum temperature can remain between eight to 10 degrees Celsius. There will be no significant change in the weather for the next three days.

A cold wave-like situation may arise in the state next week. Meteorologist Abhishek Anand of the Meteorological Center, Ranchi, said that there is an effect of north-westerly winds in the state. Because of this the minimum temperature is between 6.7 °C and 11 °C.

There is no possibility of any major change in the mercury level for the next three days. After that, the temperature may drop further from December 20.
