Ranchi: The 29th National Sub Junior and Senior Thang-Ta Championship started today on Friday at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium located in Sports Village, Ranchi.
Divisional Forest Officer Umesh Sahni and Kairali School Principal Rajesh Pillai inaugurated the championship.
During this, officials of the Jharkhand Olympic Association and Thang-Ta Association were present.
Jharkhand Thang-Ta Association is organizing this three-day competition under the aegis of Thang-Ta Federation of India.
Along with 40 players from host Jharkhand, about 600 players from Assam, Manipur, Bihar, Delhi, Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Jammu Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tripura and other parts of the country are participating in this competition.
