Techno Electric Shares Sink Nearly 13% After Q4 Profit Drops

Mumbai- Shares of Techno Electric and Engineering Company fell sharply by nearly 13 per cent during intra-day trading on Tuesday after the company reported a decline in its fourth-quarter earnings.

The stock dropped as much as 12.8 per cent on the BSE to touch an intra-day low of Rs 1,194 per share. It later recovered slightly but was still trading 11.8 per cent lower at Rs 1,208.8 around 1:25 p.m.

The decline followed the company’s announcement of its financial results for the quarter ended March 2026, released after market hours on Monday.

Techno Electric posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 114.51 crore for the fourth quarter of FY26, marking a 15 per cent decline from Rs 134.64 crore reported in the same quarter last fiscal.

Despite weaker profitability, the company recorded strong revenue growth during the quarter. Revenue from operations increased 23.8 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,010.04 crore, compared to Rs 815.79 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Techno Electric and Engineering Company is regarded as one of India’s prominent power infrastructure firms, with over four decades of experience in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), asset ownership, and operations and maintenance services.

The company has built a strong footprint across power generation, transmission, and distribution segments. It was involved in establishing the first power station of NTPC Limited at Shaktinagar and has contributed to several NTPC projects over the years.

In the transmission sector, the company has constructed more than 150 of the 276 substations owned by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, accounting for a major share of the utility’s infrastructure network.

Over the years, Techno Electric has completed more than 400 projects in India and abroad, supported by a workforce of nearly 400 professionals across various business divisions.
