Students of Dumka medical College sit on dharna demanding lab and practicals

Dumka: Medical students  of Phulo-Jhano Medical College wore black arm bands and sat on a dharna demanding laboratory and practical classes.

The students are worried over the fact that without practicals they would be made to appear in the exams. The agitating students have said that without obtaining written assurances from the district administration and the management authorities of the hospital they will not call off their agitation.

The Dumka Medical College Hospital came into existence in the year August 2019 with the MCI allowing admission of 100 students but after the JMM came into power the name of the medical College was kept after great martyr sisters Phulo-Jhano.

When asked over the problems being faced by the students acting Principal of the college Dr Arun Kumar said that on regular basis the district administration and the state government has been informed over the problems of the students but arrangements of laboratory is yet to be made due to which students are not able to do practical.
