Ranchi: The ongoing student protest outside the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) office has now taken on a unique form. Determined to press their demands, the protesting students have been seen wearing black and sky-blue masks during the demonstration.
When asked about the masks, the students claimed they were wearing them due to the heat. However, this seemingly innocent response appears to conceal a deeper sentiment.
Fear is visible in the students’ eyes — fear of reprisal for speaking out, and anxiety about an uncertain future. Except for the student leader, most protesters have covered their faces, as if attempting to hide their identities while symbolically holding a mirror to the system.
The protest is intensifying. Students have made it clear: they will not back down until justice is served. Protester Manoj stated that the examination was conducted before the elections.
“There is always pressure during exams,” he added. “We even protested for the appointment of a chairman. Now that a chairman has been appointed, the results are still not being declared.”
Student leader Satyanarayan Shukla affirmed that the protest will continue until the results are officially released.
