Ranchi: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jharkhand, K. Ravi Kumar, announced that a team of 312 members, consisting of Booth Level Officers (BLOs), volunteers, and Booth Awareness Group (BAG) members from various districts of Jharkhand, will be sharing their experiences at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) in New Delhi on May 19 and 20. This initiative is part of a national training program organized by the Election Commission of India for election-related officials from all states.
In an online meeting with Deputy Electoral Officers (DEOs) from across the state on Saturday, K. Ravi Kumar emphasized the importance of this event. He asked all relevant DEOs to select and send the list of participants from their districts by Monday to facilitate further arrangements.
The CEO recalled that during the visit of the Chief Election Commissioner of India, Gyanesh Kumar, to Jharkhand, he met with volunteers from Ramgarh and BLOs from Ranchi’s Dasham Falls. The Chief Election Commissioner was highly impressed by the experiences shared during these interactions. As a result, for the first time, Jharkhand’s BLOs, volunteers, and BAG members will share their experiences of the 2024 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections with election officials from other states.
K. Ravi Kumar further stated that this opportunity allows Jharkhand’s election stakeholders to showcase their work at a national platform. He directed all DEOs to ensure the selection of participants and the necessary arrangements for their travel and stay.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy CEO and Under Secretary, Dev Das Dutta, along with the DEOs of various districts through the online platform.
