Ranchi: Director of Panchayati Raj Department Rajeshwari B said that the implementation of all the schemes of the department should be expedited. During the departmental online review, she gave clear instructions to the deputy-development commissioners, district panchayat officials of all the districts to work in a planned manner to complete 100 percent of the schemes run by the Panchayat Raj Department.
In the meeting, the Panchayat Raj Director first gave detailed information about the new scheme Panchayat Knowledge Center started at the Gram Panchayat level. Under the Panchayat Knowledge Center, a center has been envisaged in the Gram Panchayat where there will be an online education center, information center and training center along with a library.
A total of 500 Panchayat Knowledge Centers are to be established in all the districts of the state in the first year of the scheme. Text books, magazines and online teaching and training facility will be available in that center along with necessary infrastructure facilities.
During the review meeting, the director, Panchayat Raj Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti reviewed the expenditure incurred against the amount received under the financial year 2022- 23. During the review, the MNREGA Commissionercum- Panchayati Raj Director was informed about the schemes run with the funds of the 15th Finance Commission.
The Panchayati Raj Director inquired about district-wise schemes being run and directed to complete the incomplete schemes without delay. The Director of Panchayati Raj directed to spend the amount according to the rules.
Under the 15th Finance Commission, the Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti and Gram Panchayat reviewed the funds made available under the tied and untied grant and the financial year to the Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti and Gram Panchayat Instructions were given to speed up the implementation of the activities as per the action plan of 2022- 23.
