Ranchi: Jharkhand Vidhansabha Speaker Ravindranath Mahto on Tuesday chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the preparations for the budget session of the Assembly which is slated to commence from February 25.
Addressing the meeting the speaker said that he has called this meeting three days before the start of the session so that the officials can get sufficient time to complete their preparations. He directed to make sure that whatever the bills are brought in the Assembly they should be minutely examined and pointed out the flaws in the Pandit Raghunath Murmu tribal University Bill 2021.
Over the issue of pending assurances of the various departments, he directed the officers related to school education and literacy department rural development revenue and land reforms department, personnel administrative reforms and rajbhasha department and tourism department to dispose off the pending matters.
He also asked the concerned officials to make sure that there are elaborate security arrangements in place and sufficient numbers of policemen deployed for security purposes in the new Vidhan Sabha as well as in the residential premises of the old Vidhan sabha building. He said that all the vehicles coming inside the Vidhan sabha premises should be e examined properly from the security point of view.
The speaker said that proper arrangements for health and prevention against covid should be maintained inside the premises and during the session it should be ensured that uninterrupted water and power supply come to the Vidhan sabha building while street lights on both sides of the road remain functional.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sukhdeo Singh DGP Neeraj Kumar Sinha and secretaries and principal secretaries of various other departments.
