Soon camps to be organised to provide 75 percent jobs to locals: Hemant Soren

Chaibasa: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the government has passed a law to provide 75 percent of jobs to locals in companies operating in the state and soon camps would be organised to further accelerate the process.

Addressing the Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar program in Goeilkera he said that the program is being organised across the state and to see how the program is being executed and collect the information he too was participating in them.

He said that the previous year the government had started the Sarkar Aapke Dwar program and similarly this year the program is being organised in two phases. He said that whatever applications had been received in the previous program almost all of them have been settled and this time around efforts are being made to make the people link with the various schemes of the state government. He announced that soon Goeilkera Haat Bazaar will be given a facelift and people would be provided basic amenities of life. 

The Chief Minister said that the daughters of the state need not go out and asked them to come to the camp and take advantage of the scheme as the schemes have been created according to the people here.

Schemes from agriculture to self-employment are being operated by the state government so that people can stand on their own feet. He said that people have overcome the dire circumstances of the Corona period during which the sisters of the Sakhi Mandal of the state distributed food among the needy as a result of which no one died of hunger but now Jharkhand has gone into a state of drought.

In view of the drought, the government is working to send the officials to the doors of the people after making a plan he said adding that there is a need to preserve the tradition which has been going on from time immemorial and also the need to empower the next generation. He said that animal husbandry needs special attention and asked people why not people can keep cows and milk them, why not keep poultry and sell eggs and meat and this work can be done by connecting with Livestock Development Scheme. 

The Chief Minister said that the doors of self-employment are also open in the state and through the employment generation scheme, youth can do different types of business and the scheme will be launched in every panchayat. Timely pension and timely payment of wages to MNREGA workers will be also ensured he said. Hemant Soren said that his government has made arrangements to give pension to all the needy of the state and this is the first state in the country where Universal Pension Scheme is implemented.

Moreover, Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana has been launched for financial help in the education of adolescent girls who will get the benefit of the scheme but to take advantage of the scheme the girl child will have to come to school and study. The government has taken a resolution to open degree colleges in every block he said adding that the government had made a law and arrangements have been made for free providing higher education abroad for the talented children of tribals, backward and minorities.

The Chief Minister said that dragon fruit is being cultivated on a large scale in Khunti. The price of dragon food increases after leaving Jharkhand therefore the government is making special preparations to expand dragon fruit further. The Chief Minister said that the government is making preparations so that those who took the state can get respect so law has been made to provide 75 percent employment to the local people.

Soon this work will be accelerated by setting up camps. Further, a large-scale manual has been made for forest produce and soon MSP will be fixed so that forest produce can get a better price he stated.

On this occasion Ministers Satyanand Bhokta and Joba Majhi, MP Chaibasa Geeta Koda, MLAs and officials of the district administration were present. During the function, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of 6,455 schemes and inaugurated 51 schemes and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of schemes worth about Rs 670 crore.
